Dead When I Found Her - All The Way Down

Dead When I Found Her - All The Way Down 2CD
(2015) Artoffact

I belive the 2CD version of this excellent album has already sold out. Fortunately there's always Bandcamp! The second CD is called "The Bottom" and is yours for just $6 (+ tax, if you live in Europe).
I've been a fan of Dead When I Found Her from the early beginning, but this time Michael A Holloway has really outdone himself. The album is well put together, it feels almost like a movie score. Buy before you try!!!

Aaimon - Aaimon

Aaimon - Aaimon (2013)
Artoffact

Yes! The album of the year is here! I haven't gotten my limited 2CD yet, but the nice people at Storming The Base provided me with a Bandcamp download code for the album. I don't really know what to write about this album. All has already been written, by other bloggers and in reviews all over the net. If you're not yet familiar with Aaimon's sound, you need to check them out! This is so much better than ordinary witchhouse! Aaimon has progressed tremendously since their earlier releases.

Dead When I Found Her - Fingerprints Vol.1

Dead When I Found Her - Fingerprints Vol.1
(2013) Artoffact

This is the first cassette release I bought since the 80's. I'm not particularly happy with it. Don't get me wrong. I like the songs. And I love the fact that I got all the songs as freely downloadable wav files. But why release a cassette?
Maybe I got it wrong? I bought this just to get the wav files. Perhaps the files are available as a separate purchase? Anyway, all these songs are cover versions that DWIFH has recorded through-out the years. Some of them were available to download on Soundcloud and some of them were available on the bonus disc of the 2012 album "Rag Doll Blues".

Blank - Impact Zone

Blank - Impact Zone (2008)
Artoffact

I bought a couple of Blank CD's a while back, but I never had the time to listen to them. As a matter of fact, I tried listening to them, but I disliked the vocals. Now I'm prepared to give them a new chance. I'm still not too fond of the vocals, they sounds like some sort of whisper, but the music is really good! The more I listen the more I like it. Give it a try, maybe you'll like it?

Aaimon - Flatliner

Aaimon - Flatliner (2012)
Artoffact

∆Aimon, Aaimon or maybe you want to call them Daimon? It doesn't really matter. It's another one of Artoffact Records great releases! And maybe the nicest artwork of 2012. This is the first Witch house record I actually bought. I have been dowloading a great bit of Witch house releases from Bandcamp, just to check out what the fuzz was about. I don't like most of them, but there surely is some hidden gems out there! The thing I like about Aaimon is that they have vocals. I'm not to keen on instrumental music, which most of the Witch house stuff I found has been. This CD is a re-release of a six song vinyl EP, now packed with ten bonus tracks. Great value for money! There's both Witch hous remixes like "Current (▲NDRΛS Remix)" and "Mirrors Fade (Ceremonal Dagger Remix)", and some remixes by industrial bands like "Black Cross (Dead When I Found Her Remix)", "Flatliner (Encephalon Remix)" and "Flatliner (Haujobb Remix)".

Legend - Fearless

Legend - Fearless (2012)
Artoffact

This album is supposed to be the best electronic newcomer of the year. It's definately the grower of the year for me. It's getting better and better by each listen. But I rank Continues - "Continues" as the best newcomer of the year. Standout tracks are "Benjamite Bloodline", "City", "Runaway Train", "Sudden Stop", "Devil In Me", "Lust" - heck, almost all of the songs on this album are worth a mention!

VA - Kinetik Festival Volume Four

VA - Storming The Base Presents:
Kinetic Festival Volume Four 2CD
(2011) Artoffact

This is the official album for the Kinetik Festival, held in Montreal, Canada between May 19-23, 2011. I soo wish that I could afford going there! The CD is filled with tracks from industrial bands like Aesthetic Perfection, Front Line Assembly, VNV Nation, Assemblage 23, Mind.In.A.Box, Covenant. But that's not all. It also includes the third Bruderschaft song ever to be released, "Trigger (Edge Of Dawn Mix)"! And, by the way, Storming The Base is one of the best online shops for industrial music there is. Check them out!

Massiv In Mensch - Meanwhile Back In The Jungle

Massiv In Mensch -
Meanwhile Back In The Jungle (2008)
Artoffact

This album is a must have because of the Massiv In Mensch/Mind.In.A.Box collaboration "Supermassive Gravity". There are some other cool tracks, too, but this is an outstanding track!
