VA - Electronic Saviors

VA - Electronic Saviors 4CD+DD
(2010) Metropolis

This is a four CD box (well five, if you count the digital download bonus disc). Proceeds from the compilation will be donated to the Foundation for Cancer Research and Wellness situated in Harrisburg, PA. The box contains a lot of of exclusive tracks/remixes from artist such as Assemblage 23, Combichrist, Imperative Reaction, Aestetic Perfection, Flesh Field and 78 more! My current favourites is an Endager mix of "Supermassive Gravity" by Massiv In Mensch feat. Mind.In.A.Box and the new (finally!) Stromkern track. This compilation will be limited to 2500 copies!

52 Kraftwerk - Der Katalog

Kraftwerk - Der Katalog
8CD (2009) EMI

I've just bought myself the best Christmas present I'll ever get. The German version of the Kraftwerk 8CD remaster box. There's not much to say, really. The music's awesome, the artwork is astoundingly nice and the CD's sounds better than anyone could expect.

AC/DC - Backtracks

AC/DC - Backtracks
2CD/DVD (2009)
Columbia

This box collects hard to get studio and live tracks from 1974 - 2000 and some promo videos and features that didn't fit on the Family Jewels DVD-set. Finally I'm able to listen to "Cold Hearted Man" and "Carry Me Home" in decent quality! There's not much to say. If you like AC/DC you will like this, otherwise just stay away.

Johnny Cash - God Love Murder Life

Johnny Cash -
God Love Murder Life
4CD (2007)
Sony BMG

This box was originally released in 2000 as a 3CD set. The tracklist for the forth CD "Life" was completed just days before Johnny passed away in 2007.
My favourite CD is, of course, the third "Murder". But I like the whole box. It contains a lot of tracks not usually included on Johnny Cash-samplers. I also like the idea of four CD's with songs of four different themes. Too bad they forgot a travelling/train theme, because Johnny's songs about trains are among his best!
